Living Eco-friendly is being very popular and most advising lifestyle. Start with how to utilize water efficiently. Everything counts. So, get a meter installed as your first step. Give respect and value to the water from bath rooms, sinks and showers by storing in a separate place and reuse after recycling. You can take benefits by reusing such water to flush your toilets and watering gardens. This would help us to save lots of money and water. Having a rain water harvesting system not only provide you healthy water and it can be a good solution for water shortage and insufficiency. You can set up very low coast but highly efficient water harvesting system for your home, farm house, garden etc.. If you have a good storage, one rainy season would be enough to get  water as much as required for your home or farm house than depending government or private water supply agencies. Waste management techniques are the most required practices when choosing an Eco-friendly lifestyle. It has huge importance to the world of green living. Eco-Friendly people are against using plastics  and other hazardous items which would affect the Eco system by hugely imbalance it. Be always against using  such materials and instead use Eco-friendly materials available in the market frequently. Practice 3 R's, Reduce - Reuse - Recycle.

  • Always buy products that are compatible to recycle.
  • Always ensure you are purchasing re-usable items in one or another way.
  • Say goodbye to plastic bag. Use Eco-friendly bags such as cloth bags. These bags are re-usable as long as you required.
  • Buy in bulk to cut down disposable burdens. This would also help you to save lots of money
  • Hazardous wastes like asbestos, paints, pesticides, oils or electronic items like fridges etc should not recycle by yourself but, find the agencies do such for you. You may required to pay but doing so, you are being compliant with the nature and not harming it.
  • Practice compost making techniques from home or garden wastes. This would help you to stop buying hazardous fertilizers for your home,  get organic food, save money and better utlize the wastes producing from home and gardens. It also Eco-friendly by not using chemicals.
  • When buying new products such as electronic items, inquire your retailer about the possibility of recycling your old items by him. Some time you may lucky.

  • Ensure your home have installed with necessary electricity saving controls and features.
  • Always use Eco-friendly bulbs like CFLs or led.
  • Utilize wood for heating your rooms.
  • Ensure your electronic devices are highly energy efficient and compliant
  • Check and confirm your insulation are perfect for all seasons
  • Provisions for getting sunlight inside the home would reduce using bulbs in day time

To save money, identify and use multipurpose items than having separate items. More specifically encourage usage of Eco-friendly and bio chemicals for these purposes.

  • Use the plant wastes to make compost. Have a compost facility near to the garden itself.
  • Identify and  implement facilities to collect rainwater in the garden itself. It is different from rain water harvesting from roof top but using possible methods like separate tanks and barrels.
